GINA ANTOGNOLI SCANLON was commissioned to create her first painting at age nine. She refined her talent studying fine art at Kent State University, Ohio; visual communications at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; as well as sculpture and painting techniques in Italy.

Working closely with her clients, the artist arranges consultations and takes extensive photographs to garner an optimal composition before she begins to paint the portrait. A camera is a very useful tool for capturing young children, animals, and those with busy schedules who often find it challenging to sit for numerous painting sessions. Gina's love of people, her high artistic standards, and professional commitment to each portrait combine to make the creative process an enjoyable

and memorable experience for all involved.

Gina's portraits have pleased a wide range of private clients such as governmental officials, CEOs, doctors, scientists, educators, family groups and individuals of all ages. Her corporate clients include

Betsy Ann Chocolates, Columbia Gas, Dentistry for Kids,

Carnegie Museum of Natural History, University of Pittsburgh,

West Penn Allegheny Health Systems, Pittsburgh Action Against Rape, Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office and County of Allegheny.

In 2007, one of her giclée prints was displayed in a international exhibition at the Guanshanyue Museum in Shenzhen, China. In the US, Gina's artwork has been exhibited in The Andy Warhol Museum, Studio Z, Pittsburgh Center for the Arts, The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Panza Gallery and

Senator John Heinz History Center galleries.

Gina is a member of the Portrait Society of America, Cecilia Beaux Forum, and Pittsburgh Society of Illustrators, the fourth largest illustrator society in the United States, where she currently serves as Treasurer.
